| Diameter, width and length of finished products are measured with a micrometer or calipers. Thickness is measured with calipers or a multi-turn indicator with a scale division value of 0.01 mm. To check the wedge value (parallelism deviation) the thickness of the sample is measured at 5 points (1 point in the center and 4 points at the edges of the sample). Then the difference in thickness in the center (1) and the edge (2-5) points is calculated (D=T2-T1, D=T3-T1, D=T4-T1, D=T5-T1). The wedge value is obtained as the biggest difference value. Flatness is checked with the help of an interferometer upon customer’s request. The length of orientation flats is measured with a ruler (scale division value is 1 mm). |
